Yes. The costs is $5 per hole, for a total of $270. As in most Marathons, individual golfers are encouraged to ask friends, co-workers and neighbors to sponsor them for one or more holes by making a contribution to the Crandall Historical Printing Museum. For tax purposes, anyone who sponsors you for one hole or more will receive a credit for a charitable gift if you will give the Museum a list of your donors and addresses, and the amount of their contributions. Forms are provided on the web site that can be downloaded and filled out.

Like any Marathon, entry fees are the same, and you must finish all 54 holes to win a prize and receive certification. Last year 90 of the 96 golfers finished all 54 holes. The oldest foursome that finished averaged nearly 70 year of age, the youngest player in a foursome was 16 years.

How much of my contribution is tax-deductible?
The contributions for non-players (sponsors) are 100% tax-deductible. If you play, your contributions are deductible beyond $75. (See the questions above about costs)
Do I have to be a really good golfer to play in the Golf Marathon?
No. The only requirements are that you like to play gold and have a desire to raise money for a worthy cause. Many people participate each year, including men and women, juniors and seniors, first-time golfers, family groups, businesses, etc.
